RACE REPORT

Off 4 minutes late, this proved to be a very one-sided affair. Bower of Roses set a brisk early gallop, but Soloptic was always close up and, rounding the home bend, moved into the lead on a tight rein. She won by an easy 5 lengths, with 8 lengths back to Silver Blue. The next year Soloptic won the Group 2 Challenge Stakes over 7 furlongs at Newmarket.
